My dogs are in between miem peed on my oriental rugs. I have (if I have discovered it) tried to soak it up with paper towels, dabbed with water and dried it with paper towels or rags. If there was a spot I have used Danish water and potato, with great success. However, it apparently still be smelt, and therefore hands it to the dogs urinating in the same places. - What can you do to remove the smell? - I have examined the possibility of getting the carpets washed professionally, but as in the case of 9 oriental carpets, it will be very costly. Hi Ellen The best way to clean oriental rugs is to lay them face down in the snow and here knocking them and drag them around in the snow, they are very beautiful in colors, etc. but it's not just topical at the moment. Dissolve soap flakes in hot water, cool to lukewarm water and then wash carpets, suck up any. with old towels.
