MOM website has an option of getting details about the employee like how many employers has she changed, how many years she has worked. Ask her those and try to correlate it with the details on the website to check the authenticity of what she says. If you have any restrictions like speaking on the hand phone etc. Try to stress that point each and everytime you talk to her. If she has tried to change many employers with in few months ask her the reasons for the same and try to think twice before taking her as she might not be stable.

Get the insurance from NTUC. Just call their helpline. Can be done on their phone. Once insurance is done, you need to log onto MOM site and follow steps on FDW work permit renewal. You can call on the MOM helpline if any doubts!

Feedback about some maid agencies : Just to let you know that Angel maid agency listed here is very unprofessional. They agreed to a certain maid agency fee after negotiation & took a check from me to process the FDW. I asked for a contract to be signed before handing over the check as per norm. 20 mins later they said they didnt want to go ahead with me as they didnt feel comfortable. I have lost precious days in finding a helper due to their inconsistency.
